Today we have a very special treat.  Not only are we featuring Bush Smarts in our Maker Spotlight series, Bush Smarts will also be guest-posting on our Instagram account today!  From today to the Brooklyn Mini Market on Sunday, we will be inviting NY Makers to guest-post on our Instagram.  Follow us to find out who will be posting next!  We cannot wait to learn more about the Makers and see NY through their eyes.

Kevin Sterling and John Davidson are the mountain men behind Bush Smarts.  They found each other through the common love of the wilderness.  Both men wanted outdoor gear that taps into the heritage of bushcraft, yet is also practical in the wild.

This idea brought Kevin and John together and started the adventure of designing, procuring, and assembling a gear kit that is everything one needs for an outdoor adventure.

From Merino wool socks and flint steels, to more playful items such as gaming kits and entertaining literature, everything is re-designed in-house to fit the Bush Smarts aesthetic.

Through a combination of finding obscure and unknown gear, bringing under-appreciated gear into the modern age, to designing and building new gear – these guys at Bush Smarts have got you covered for all your outdoor needs.  Their appreciation for equipment and objects that exceed standards in both form and function make their products truly unique and admired.
