Etch Studio
We’re doubling up on Austin Maker Spotlights today because there is just so much talent to share! Today we’re loving the jewelry and accessories from ETCH Studio! The gals from ETCH will be bringing their laser cut jewelry and more to our Austin Holiday Market this weekend! So skip the big stores and support Small Business Saturday – your friends and family will thank you!
ETCH Studio was started by architecture students and Texas natives, Zoe Ganch and Mallory Estopinal. Their studies influenced them to create a collection with clean lines and edgy geometry with inspirations pulled from some of the world’s most famous buildings.
ETCH Studio draws from the beauty of simplicity and executes the idea of “effortless” through their jewelry design. Good design is often about the details, so Zoe and Mallory make sure to zoom into the details of their products, whether it be through the hand-painted gold leaf, material combinations, or intricate etchings on the hard-woods.
Each of ETCH Studio’s designs are laser cut and hand-crafted out of their design studio in Louisiana. First an idea is made tangible through a collaborative sketch, and then it is digitally drafted onto a computer. From there, each piece is laser cut then hand painted and assembled. Their design process for each piece might seem long, but we can tell it’s absolutely worth it.
We can’t wait to snatch up some of ETCH Studio’s jewelry at our Austin Holiday Market this weekend! We’d say we were buying gifts for others, but that might be a lie. Want to stay in the know? Follow ETCH Studio on Facebook and Instagram, and choose your favorites on their website. See you all this weekend!
