Redcruiser
Today we are thrilled to be featuring Redcruiser! These food-centric printed wares will be making their way to our San Francisco Fair on July 18+19 at Fort Mason Center!
Redcruiser is a collection of illustrated and hand-lettered stationery, gift and home goods that celebrate seasonal gardening, markets, cooking, eating and drinking.
After spending 10 years working full-time in Seattle and Minneapolis, designer/illustrator Heidi Schweigert started Redcruiser in 2008 in a small sketchbook exploring a few of her favorite things which has now evolved into cohesive brand that embraces that fun, free energy in life.
One of the things we love about Red Cruiser is how eco-conscious and aware they are. All paper products are printed locally on 100% PCW paper and are assembled by hand in their MN studio. Whenever possible, organic materials are sourced and they use a minimal amount of packaging for shipping.
Heidi finds inspiration from the everyday – Redcruiser really is a collection of all the things Heidi loves – gardening, cooking, entertaining, nature, travel and exploring. She tries really hard to keep a balanced lifestyle so that she can spend meaningful time doing all the things she loves with the people she loves – usually thats when Heidi sparks the best ideas.
Currently, Heidi is working out of her basement studios, garage and wherever she can find space, with the hopes of relocating into a substantial studio/warehouse space soon. Working from her home studio has offered much flexibility and the chance for Heidi to run out to the garden and spend time with her kids, and of course, finding daily inspirations for her illustrative work.
These cards not only make us hungry, they are making us crave some California sunshine, food, and margaritas! California Dreamin!
We are so thrilled to have Redcruiser with us at our San Francisco Fair in just a week and a half! You can find Heidi and Redcruiser online here:
